Whistleblowing

At 7 Steel, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity. As part of this commitment, we provide dedicated channels through which stakeholders can report concerns or raise questions related to ethical conduct.

Our internal whistleblowing system allows individuals to report actions that may constitute serious or very serious criminal or administrative offenses, as well as breaches in labour law, occupational health, and safety regulations. The system is designed, implemented, and managed securely to ensure strict confidentiality of the whistleblower’s identity, any individuals mentioned in the report, and all actions taken during the investigation and follow-up process. Data protection and prevention of unauthorized access are fundamental elements of this system. Reports can be submitted in writing, and anonymous submissions are also permitted.

Informants will also be notified of their right to report through external channels, including competent authorities or relevant EU institutions, once the “Independent Authority for the Protection of Whistleblowers” has been established in line with national and EU regulations.

Individuals who report misconduct are protected under the principles of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and Council of 23 October 2019. This includes protection from retaliation or any form of adverse treatment resulting from a report made in good faith.

Retaliation—whether direct or indirect—is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: termination of employment, suspension, disciplinary actions, reputational damage, financial harm, threats, intimidation, harassment, negative performance reviews, blacklisting, denial of promotions, training opportunities, or any unfair treatment connected to the act of reporting.
